Have you ever been told to “take care of yourself” and wondered what that includes and or looks like in the community? What connection does self-care have to shared and personal areas of spirituality, or self-expression?
If you can relate to this, so can Dayna and I. When we met through volunteering at a youth charity foundation. We bonded over freely expressing ourselves in unconventional ways, appreciating individuality, and our focus on mutual support. This helped us feel “wholeness” individually and in community with other people following their passions.
Seven years later, we wanted to expand this bond into a close-knit community of open-minded young folks passionate about exploring diverse aspects of self-care, arts, and spirituality.
If you are interested in connecting with like-minded folks between the ages of 21 to 35, come on out to our first event on Diversifying Self Care: Art & Spirit on Friday, September 28th. Join us for an evening of interactive discussion all about self-care and growth. We will provide dinner with vegan/halal options and have a songwriting workshop after.
