Worship & Music

Church has a very different place in society now compared to 50 or 60 years ago, let alone 200 or 1,000 years ago. Regardless, people still hunger and thirst for meaning and spirituality.

At Beach United you’ll find an informal style of worship that is biblically based. Our worship services are less traditional than many United Church congregations but you will still find familiar spiritual rituals such as baptism and communion.

Our Sunday morning worship services start at 10:30 a.m. with coffee/tea and conversation, then we gather for hymn singing, scripture readings, reflections on the scripture and prayer.

Our Jazz & Reflection services are on Saturday afternoons, starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 5:15 p.m.

Organ Stops is a concert series showcasing the organ and takes place on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.

2018/19 dates: October 14, February 10, and April 14.

SoundWave Café is another new music event at Beach United Church.  Come, sip coffee and listen to music on a Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.

2018/19 dates: November 24, January 19, March 16, and May 25.

Love to sing?

We’re always happy to hear new voices. All singers are welcome in our choir – no audition required! Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. to meet other singers, warm up your vocal chords and learn new songs.
