Gratitude is …
being grateful for what you already have
appreciating the small things in life
Gratitude helps us …
become happier and better at feeling good
recognise that happiness comes from within
Gratitude Gift Activity
Think of a special person in your life. It might be a teacher, a friend, a family member, a neighbor or a friendly crossing guard.
Think about the things they do to help you. How do you feel when you think of this person?
As you come up with ideas, write them down or draw your feelings. Share these words and pictures with your special person.
Say “thank you” to as many people as you can this week. They will feel good and so will you. This is the gratitude gift!
Let us pray
Thank you for the world so sweet,
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you God for everything.
