Remember this

Put peace into each other’s hands
With loving expectation:
Be gentle in your words and ways,
In touch with God’s creation.

Reach out in friendship, stay in faith
in touch with those around you.
Put peace into each other’s hands,
The Peace that sought and found you.

Words by Fred Kaan from the More Voices hymn #173

I hope you will join us for our Remembrance Day service this Sunday. You will hear from two voices, whose poetic words were born out of the trauma of war and institutional violence. They lived in different eras, 100 years apart but their words are a legacy, that if we have the wisdom to listen, might help us build peace by moving mountains one grain at a time.

Karen Dale, in ministry with Beach United Church
