Winter greetings!

We hope this note finds you keeping warm, healthy and as excited as we are about all the good things we know have begun in 2022.

For starters we are delighted to officially welcome Greg Daly as Beach’s minister. Greg’s first service was last Sunday and he is quickly getting acquainted with people, place and procedure in the Beach community! And he is looking forward to connecting with you in a variety of ways. Please join Greg and other folks from our community on February 15 for one hour zoom sessions as we begin the conversation.

We also hope you will mark March 6th in your calendars for our Annual General Meeting. This year will be a combination of live and streaming options and we have much to report on. Stay tuned for details.

Some good news is that soon we will be resuming in person services at 50% capacity (maintaining all other COVID protocols as usual). This re-opening for Sunday service will commence in March so stay tuned for that announcement. People interested in attending in person will need to continue to register through Eventbrite.
February 6th saw the second in the series of the popular Breaking Bread Together offerings organized once again by the amazing Jo-Anne LaForty. Money raised supports food initiatives and by all accounts it was a marvellous night! A big thanks also to Cate and David for their incredible behind the scenes assistance.

We also have some thanking of people to do. Jim McKibbin has made his way to the West Coast leaving the Lunch Program in Hastings Wither’s capable hands. Jim has been a driving force in developing and sustaining this so important program and we thank him profusely for all that he has done and wish him so well in this next life step.
A big thank you also to Amy Truscott! For 35+ years Amy has quietly and efficiently run the offering envelopes/tax receipts program at Beach (most capably supported by the efficient Anne Colquhoun) and is now stepping away. We cannot thank you enough Amy for this incredible gift of service and commitment to the life of Beach. More information on how we will now run this program is coming soon!

Lastly we are continuing to look for volunteers for many of our programs including Board membership, Ministry & Personnel, the Lunch Program and fundraising to name a few. If you are interested, please contact us at board@beachuc.com
The same goes if you have questions or concerns.

In spirit,
Brian, Barry, David, Lynne & Nanci
