Love colour’s outside the lines

When I think of songs of love, I can hear many instruments playing in my head: acoustic guitar, melodic piano, stirring violins and even a smooth saxophone. I am not hearing an organ! Maybe I need to colour outside the lines – you know, think a little differently.

On this Valentine’s Day I hope that you will join Rashaan Allwood [organist] and Nadine Anyan [soprano] for an on-line concert “Songs of Love”. Rashaan and Nadine are not only very accomplished musicians, they are also partners in life. If you have other plans for February 14th, not to worry, the video link will remain live until March 14th, so you can watch, listen and hopefully make a donation; whenever it’s convenient. CLICK HERE for Eventbrite link.

We will explore the idea of love, helping us to dare to change and “colour outside the lines” on Sunday.
May we colour outside the lines of injustice,
creating joy-filled pictures of abundant love.
May we dare to change and risk moving into the unknown;
and through acts of compassion, find courage.

Blessings, Karen Dale [in ministry with BUC]
