The job of being human

This video is an invitation to see the world through the music and lyrics of Bruce Cockburn. Cockburn is one of those talented, multi-faceted people; an activist, author, songwriter, poetic lyricist, spiritual explorer and he’s Canadian! I hope you will join us to engage the theme of “the job of being human.”

Bruce describes the songwriting process as “the scratches of pen on paper and the pulling of notes out of metal.” As you listen to songs which span the 20th and 21st centuries, see what pulls at your heart and scratches your conscience.

The making of this video started in December 2020 and has taken four committed musicians, hundreds of hours to complete. John, Ed, Andrew and Steve have donated their time, so that all your donations can go to support the music and food ministry of Beach United Church.

When you register for this video concert, with reflective words from yours truly; you will be showing your appreciation to the musicians as well as supporting BUC. Please be as generous as you are able to be.
