During these difficult times we are finding different ways to express our love and compassion. Tablets, lap-tops and phones are now centre stage and face to face conversations have taken a back seat. The means might have changed but our need to connect, share and celebrate has not; so we are becoming innovative.

This week nine friends from BUC and some neighbours celebrated a milestone birthday with a person whose family live abroad. They had planned a surprise gathering but of course that couldn’t happen - but they were in on the alternative plan. At the pre-arranged time we gathered on the sidewalk and front porches, someone knocked on the door: quickly stepping back and when the front door opened - burst into “Happy Birthday to you!” All of which happened whilst maintaining physical distancing.

What a great way to share the love! Below you will find many opportunities to connect virtually; I hope you are able to check them out.
