The month of June in Toronto is usually filled with colour, razzle-dazzle and excitement as parades and events galore celebrate PRIDE. This has been much more muted and nuanced this year as COVID-19 and racism have been front and centre. However the purpose of PRIDE is to celebrate what has been achieved and point towards what needs to happen before true equity is achieved for people who identify as LGBTQ+ .

It is this quest for equity and inclusion which links all groups where disparity and oppression are a reality. The flag above was designed by Daniel Quasar. He calls it "Progress" - a pride flag reboot, emphasing inclusion and progression.
