Memories - we all have them, tucked away yet accessible when needed. I invite you to pause for a moment and take out a few of yours. What feelings do they evoke? Why are they precious?
|
From a spiritual perspective, memory is not just about holding pictures of the past in our head; it’s also about holding on to our core values. There’s a reason we say, “I need to remember who I am.” The experience of gathering together as a faith community – even if that happens through technology – helps us to remember who we are and whose we are.

Worship connects back into the past through ancient, sacred stories but also into the future by shaping the way in which we act in the world. We are all protectors and sustainers of memories. What are the precious pieces which we hold and how might they help us to live love in the world?
