Light in the darkness

There are many ways that light can penetrate the darkness of a world that is bleak and cold for many. Jennifer Stewart, from Bellefair Avenue was so proud of the teen volunteers who delivered 17 boxes of food to the local fire station at Queen/Woodbine. See the photo above of the young people who sorted, organized, packed and delivered as part of the Reverse Advent Calendar project. Feel the light of love as you learn more about this project, which is part of the recorded worship for Sunday December 20 - video link https://vimeo.com/489146080

On the longest night of the year, light a candle to illumine the shadows and watch a video of words and music, which acknowledges the pain in our lives and the world. This Christmas will be like no other and so we hope that the December 21st worship experience will create an atmosphere where all feel held in compassion [details below].

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:5

Wishing you all hearts filled with love,
Karen Dale [in ministry with BUC]

The church office will be closed from December 25 to January 3, 2021.
