Follow your star
We know the ending of the story of the Wise Ones travelling from the east, star-led and gift laden; we know they followed their star to Jesus. Yet these learned scholars, wise in the movement of the constellations, did not know their destination when they set out. So what were they following? I think of them as following more than a star; they were following their passion and they were led to joy.

When they had heard the king, they set out;
and there, ahead of them,
went the star that they had seen at its rising,
until it stopped over the place where the child was.
When they saw that the star had stopped,
they were overwhelmed with joy. Matthew 2:9-10
