Hear the voice of Ryan Downey on December 21, 7 pm: Longest Night Service

A proud Newfoundlander, tenor Ryan Downey is quickly gaining nationwide recognition for his “nimbleness of voice” (Bachtrack) and “attractive lyric tenor colour” (Edmonton Journal).  Ryan has recently appeared as Rodolfo in La Boheme, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, and made his main stage debut with Toronto Operetta Theatre in the lead role of Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore.

See You at Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion at 8 pm.

What are the gifts of the story of the birth of Jesus?  You won’t find them magnificently wrapped and placed under a shining tree. You will find these gifts in the ancient stories and well-loved carols that tell of this special birth and perhaps we will also discover the gifts of hope, peace, love, and joy within our hearts.

Join Us at the Cadence Holiday Concert

Cadence’s live shows are always a hit. They feature a hypnotic blend of complex harmonies, intricate arrangements, vocal dexterity, and just plain fun. On-stage antics and audience participation are par for the course at any Cadence show, but so too is a mesmerizing display of musical genius. What these boys can do with their voices needs to be heard to be believed.

The band is made up of David Lane (baritone and bass), Ross Lynde (tenor), Lucas Marchand (tenor), and Kurt Sampson (bass and vocal percussion). They each bring many years of training and performance experience to create a rich musical event appropriate for all ages. www.cadence-unplugged.com
